Beginning Violin for 3's and 4's

For children ages 3-4 and their caregivers, participating in a beginning pod will give them a joyous and family-centered start to their musical journey. Using the Wee Violin curriculum, which incorporates folk songs from around the world, children and caregivers will sing, dance, clap, and imagine their way into the very first steps of beginning violin. Class sessions will incorporate listening, singing, movement activities, and violin technique. There will be a mixture of group activities and one-on-one time with each student.

Participating in this beginning pod gives students full access to the Allen Violin Studio, including mixed-level group classes, recitals, and special studio events. After a year of beginning pod, students will be ready to transition into private lessons! Registration is now open - join the interest list to be contacted by Ms. Claire and see if this is the right fit for you!

Policies

Home Practice:
Establishing a daily musical habit is an essential part of beginning violin. Parents/caregivers are expected to create a musical home environment for the child and to practice musical activities and assignments from class with their child each day. Students/families who practice class activities six or more days per week will experience the most enjoyment and growth and get the most benefit possible from this violin class experience.

Health & Safety:

Masks are welcomed but not required. Students and caregivers are asked to stay home if the student is ill and to mask if they aren't feeling well or suspect they've been exposed to any contagious illness. In the event of a public health emergency, we will follow all federal and state regulations as well as any required by Ravensworth Baptist Church.

Refund policy:
  • 100% tuition refunded before September 1
  • Tuition minus $180 supply fee refunded between September 2 and September 11
  • After first class:
    • If paid for session or year in full, tuition refunded minus first payment
    • If paid first payment only, no refund but no further payments will be collected
